Faghan-e Afghan

After working solidly as two people for some time, when my website (jarofwords.com) went live, I took an invigorating break. We opted out for a short family trip to Pembroke, leaving behind work, news, internet and mobiles.

A few days later, we came back to a world that was different with what we left behind. Afghanistan was taken over by Taliban forces, and for people of Afghanistan even the fortress of daily routine was fallen. All these happened in just a few days?! I sat motionless staring at the waves, the salty water droplets were penetrating my lips, just as Taliban was advancing city by city. The sound of waves crashing into rocks was deafening, but the movement of men covered in arms and heavy artillery aiming to crush human lives was not audible.

What was the west negotiating with Taliban prior to their super-quick retreat? What was to be delivered in return for practically offering Taleban victims to be butchered. A frothing wave came almost too close before dashing back to the sea. The west has invented and armed Taleban. Now that they let go of the compressed spring of hatred, all we could do is to watch the damage upon impact. Wave upon wave of women are going to be buried under their blue burqa. Niqāb will be a MUST. Women's world is rapidly shrinking to a small rectangular mesh, the only share of Afghan women from the world. The fearful scream of Afghanistan remains inaudible, or maybe the world's hearing has gone numb.

But fear not! The imprint of pain would soon disappear just like the bare footsteps on the sand does. Taliban leader is flown over to his headquarter. Soon different countries would recognised Taleban as the government of Afghanistan and we all forget the past. Soon everything goes back to 'normal' and we all will be indifferent to the massacre there.

It has nothing to do with us if blood, like water droplets around the rocks, is scattered around. Let's leave the politic behind. The blood stained soil of the stadium, where women were stoned, can be washed clean.

The drunk men, immune to the temptation of alcohol, over taken by the lust of power shouting: women are more fertile than the soil, forget all the lives lost and all that was achieved over the past two decades, as now we are armed again.

مدتی سخت روی طراحی وبسایتم (سبوی سخن) کار کردم و چند روزی برای استراحت به شهر ساحلی پمبروک رفتیم. این مدت از اخبار و شبکه‌های اجتماعی دور بودم. در بازگشت، حتی قلعه‌ی غیرقابل تسخیر روزمرگی را برای مردم افغانستان واژگون شده یافتم. کابل سقوط کرده بود. آنهم فقط در چند روز؟

وقتی بی‌‌حرکت به امواج خیره شده بودم و طعم شور قطرات آب از پوست لبم عبور می‌کرد، طالبان شهر به شهر پیش می‌رفت. صدای برخورد امواج بر تخته‌سنگ‌ها کرکننده بود، اما حرکت مردان تا دندان مسلح گویا در سکوت.

غرب، طالبان را اختراع و مسلح کرد و حال فنر فشرده شده‌ی نفرت را رها کرده بود. موج موج زنان در زیر برقع آبی خود خفه خواهند شد، با نقاب بر چشم و فریادهای خفه بر لبان دوخته شده‌شان. دنیای زنان در حال کوچک و محدود شدن به یک مستطیل مشبک کوچک است. این تمام سهم زنان افغان از جهان خواهد بود.

اما نگران نباشید درد به زودی فراموش می‌شود. درست مانند جای قدم‌های برهنه روی ماسه‌ها. قطرات خون هم مانند این قطرات آب در اطراف پراکنده می‌شود. رهبر طالبان به مقر فرماندهی جدید خود منتقل شده و کشورها یکی بعد از دیگری حکومت طالبان را به رسمیت خواهند شناخت. هیس! هیچ از سیاست نگویید! خاک آغشته به خون ورزشگاه ، جایی که زنان سنگسار شده اند، قابل شستشو است.

مردان ظاهراً مصون در برابر وسوسه الکل، مست شهوت قدرت می‌غرند: زنان بارورتر از خاک‌اند، آن همه جان باختگی و همه‌ی دست‌آوردهای دو دهه‌ی گذشته را فراموش کنید. ما اکنون به لطف شما تا دندان مسلحیم .
