How Strange!
I have completed a few commissioned writing and photography projects, producing original written and visual content for a few clients and purposes. Not all of them were paid commissions, but I enjoyed each and every commissioned work, because it was rewarding to know that my writing and photography already had an audience. I didn’t have to worry about finding people who might be interested in my work; instead, I could focus on creating something meaningful and engaging for the people it was intended for.
I believe that, in the near future, someone whose ideas carry real weight will find a way to free artists from the constant search for an audience. Until then, promoting our own work will remain an unavoidable part of the artist’s job description. A part that I particulay disliked.
Now imagine my delight when, without making any effort to promote my paintings, someone became interested in buying one of them.
It’s only recently that I started painting, and when someone approached me about buying one of my paintings, I actually tried to persuade them not to! But guess what? They were impressed and willing to pay for even a small drawing. They even paid a deposit to cover the cost of the materials.
Who would have thought! Maybe instead of writing, I should invest in drawing. Or this might be the universe's way of telling me not to bother with writing anymore!

تاکنون دعوت به همکاری برای چند پروژه نگارش و عکاسی داشتهام. برخی از این پروژهها به صورت داوطلبانه بوده ولی از انجام همه آنها لذت بردم، چرا که نگران تبلیعات و پیداکردن راهی برای جلب مشتری برای کارهایم نبودم. مطمئنم بالاخره درآیندهای نزدیک هنرمندان از قید جستجو برای یافتن مشتری خلاص خواهد شد تا وقت و انرژی خود را برای خلق اثرخرج نمایند نه تبلیغ برای فروش کار. تا آنموقع ولی تبلیغات هم بخشی از وظایف شغلی هنرمندان خواهد ماند.
حال بشنوید از اتفاق جالب و عجیبی که برای من افتاد. شحصی از من خواست تا در قبال هزینهای که پرداخت میکند، برایش تابلویی بکشم. توضیح دادم که به تازگی نقاشی را شروع کردهام و سعی کردم او را از این کار منصرف کنم ولی ایشان منصرف نشد و حتی بیعانهای هم پرداخت کرد تا وسایل اولیه کار را بخرم.
کسی چه میداند شاید این پیام دنیاست که من از نوشتن دست برداشته و به کار دیگر بپردازم.
