A drop of tranquillity in a sea of turmoil

Almost three years ago: an informed guide + a long drive   = an enchanted view of  Badab Surt

Badab Surt is situated near Semnan (Iran). The road that takes you there is a narrow, long one that winds around the misty mountains nearby.  The combination of: a cool breeze; the overlapping border of the patchy green, fertile land with the clouds; smell of sulphur and stepwise little pools of mineral water with their orange appearance make a surreal picture that is hard to forget.

قطره‌ای آرامش در دریایی از آشوب

نزدیک به سه سال پیش، راهنمایی آگاه و سفری طولانی مرا به منظره‌ای افسون‌کننده از باداب سورت رساند.

باداب سورت در نزدیکی سمنان قرار دارد. جاده‌ای که به آنجا می‌رسد، باریک و طولانی است و در میان کوه‌های مه‌آلود منطقه پیچ‌وخم می‌خورد. ترکیب نسیم خنک، مرز محو و درهم‌آمیخته‌ی تکه‌های سرسبز و حاصلخیز زمین با ابرها، بوی گوگرد، و حوضچه‌های پلکانی آب‌های معدنی با رنگ نارنجی چشم‌نوازشان، تصویری فراواقعی و به‌یادماندنی خلق می‌کند که به‌سختی می‌توان آن را از خاطر برد.
